The Commission Status provides both the current status and latest updates for clients.

Commissions do not have specific deadlines, but each is expected to be completed within 2–5 weeks, with possible extensions for highly detailed artwork.

Please read the Terms of Service for more information on the workflow and updates clients will receive for commissioned artwork.

Wait List is reserved for clients who are willing to wait for open slot.

Clients can reserve a slot after they send order form and full payment of the commission.

Commissions work as a first-paid, first-serve basis. Reserved date lists whose commission I will work on as soon as there's available slot.

The artist, Empress Chini, will NOT sign any NDA contracts or accept commissions that require signing contracts. This also applies to commissioned artwork that will be used for commercial purposes.

As the artist, Empress Chini retains full rights to publish all commissioned artwork and designs on her social media and in her work portfolio.

As the commissioner, you own the commissioned artwork and designs but do NOT hold the copyright unless explicitly granted by the artist. This means you cannot claim the commissioned artwork and designs as your own handmade creations.

As the commissioner, you are NOT allowed to use the commissioned artwork or any progress updates/screenshots in any AI generators or models.

Once the order form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email within 24-48 hours. The email will include a quote and payment details so you can proceed with the payment transaction.

After sending the payment and its receipt with the reference number, you will receive an email reply within 24-48 hours with the estimated Turnaround Time (TAT) for the commission. If there are no available openings but you have fully paid for the commission, you will be added to my Waitlist Batch.

Once the order form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email within 24-48 hours containing the quote and payment details so you can proceed with the payment transaction.

Full payment is required before starting the commission.

For Philippines: Gcash and Paymaya are preferred payment method via "Express Send."

For international orders: Payments can be made through Ko-Fi or PayPal invoice (USD currency). Note that PayPal taxes, transaction fees, and conversion fees will be added to the invoice.

Once payment is sent, please provide a screenshot of the receipt with the reference number so that the artist can confirm the payment has been successfully processed.

If the order form is submitted but payment is not received within 7 days, the commission will be canceled.

A full refund can be requested if the artist has not yet started your commission (or has not yet begun the first phase: draft sketch). Please note that taxes, transaction fees, and currency conversion fees from PayPal or other payment methods are non-refundable.

Please keep this in mind before commissioning: Once the artist sends the first update (draft sketch), you will no longer be eligible for a refund. This also applies to commercial rights: if you purchase commercial rights and later decide to use the artwork for personal use only, a refund for this change will not be available.

IMPORTANT: If a chargeback is issued after the commission has started or upon completion, you will forfeit all rights to the commission and be blacklisted from future commissions.

Purchasing commercial rights allows you to use the commissioned artwork for commercial and promotional purposes. This includes social media assets (such as banners, avatars, and usage in streams or recorded videos) as well as ad-supported sites.

IMPORTANT: Paying for commercial rights does not mean paying for full copyright ownership of the artwork, meaning the transfer of property rights to you. It also does not grant the right to alter/edit the commissioned artwork or to use it for AI prompting to claim the artwork as your own work. The artwork must be used "as is" when utilized for social media content, commercial, and promotional purposes.

A commercial fee is applied per piece and per usage. For example:

Using the commissioned artwork for sticker only = 1 commercial fee

Using the commissioned artwork for both stickers and charms = 2 commercial fees.

If the same commissioned artwork will be used multiple times in (for example) different promotional posts, you only need to pay the commercial fee for the promotional post once.

If the same commissioned artwork will be used for different purposes (for example, website assets and promotional posts), you will need to pay the commercial fee for both website assets and promotional posts combined, but only once. This allows you to use the commissioned artwork multiple times for these specific purposes.

Before commissioning, please specify what will be the intended usage of your commission. Commercial rights will be granted once the appropriate fee has been paid in full.

You are guaranteed to receive updates at each phase (draft sketch, line art, etc.) as outlined in the table below.

You may request the status of your commission at any time. However, the artist will only inform you of the current phase they are working on and may not be able to provide a screenshot if they are still working on certain stages of the artwork.

NOTE: The estimated TAT does NOT include the revision time and extensions applied for add-ons (such as Background, Speedpaint Video, etc.)

There is no rush fee available as of now.

FOR "PERSONAL USE" AND "CONTENT CREATOR" USAGE TYPE:

Draft Sketch Phase: allowed up to 3 minor revisions

Lineart Phase: allowed up to 3 minor revisions

Base Color Phase: allowed up to 3 minor revisions, only colors can be changed.

Submission allowed up to 3 minor revisions.

Mistakes on my end will be fixed for free.

Minor revisions can be requested during the draft sketch phase and lineart phase. Once we reach base color phase, only base color can be changed. Revisions to the line art will not be allowed unless there are anatomical errors or missing character details.

If minor revisions exceeded to more than 3, these will be considered as Major Revision, which will incur a $25 fee per major revision.

Requesting for additional draft sketch (after submitting stated 2 draft sketch) will have a $25-50 fee per draft sketch. Please note that this is different from the "custom character design fee," which focuses more on designing and experimenting with outfits, hairstyles, props, and fitting poses for the commissioner’s original character.

FOR "PUBLISHING" AND "MERCHANDISING" TYPE:

Draft Sketch Phase: Unlimited minor revisions.

Lineart Phase: Unlimited minor revisions.

Base Color Phase: Unlimited minor revisions, only colors can be changed.

Submission Unlimited minor revisions. 1-week duration only.

Requesting for major revisions will still have additional fees. It applies to the: requesting new drafts or new lineart, changing whole base colors, changing character/background/outfit designs, changing perspective view, etc.

The commissioner may request a printed copy of the commissioned artwork (A4 size, with or without the artist's signature). This print will be packed and shipped directly to the provided address or post office.

Local or international shipping fees, any applicable customs or import taxes, and other transaction fees will be added to the invoice and must be fully covered by the commissioner.

Please keep this in mind before commissioning: For traditional artwork commissions, the original piece will not be sent. Instead, you will receive the digital image files, and, if requested, a printed copy of the commissioned artwork.
